OUR GOALS AND RESEARCH

A group of enthusiastic winemakers went in search of surviving plants, scouring the local area. They studied them for over a decade and involved prestigious scientific institutes - such as the University of Turin and the CNR (Italy's National Research Council) in Gruscliasco - in their attempts to propagate the original grape variety.
The new vines obtained thanks to this research were planted out by the association's wine producers in order to revive production of this famous nectar.
The association is also committed to guaranteeing the quality of its wines thanks to a strict set of production regulations and detailed inspections.
Thus, Moscatello di Taggia is now an excellent and valuable asset for the Ligurian winemaking industry.
